Ok...so one of my fun puzzles of the week is building a playlist for the "resurrection" stations in our Easter Vigil Prayer Pilgrimage at church. What tracks would you add?
So far, I just have Bruce Springsteen's "The Rising."

Ben Harper's Picture of Jesus?
I have a really cool old school, like really old school spirtuals cd. I'll check it out.
I also have more country gospel than I should, but it's all pretty heavy-duty redeemed sinner stuff.
I'm thinking
"In the Garden" wants to be there, by either Ella Fitzgerald or Johnny Cash. I like Johnny's version, at it feels freshened by his edgy voice, but it ought to be a woman...
And while we're adding Ben Harper, "Blessed to be a Witness" might be nice.
No one says the beauty of "resurrection" quite like Alison Krauss. But I don't know which one. Maybe "I Know who Holds Tomorrow."
Now you're REALLY making me want to be the person assigned to hang out in the sanctuary!!!
I forgot about an old church (as opposed to old school) cd I have of music from centuries ago, I'll see if I can find it, too.
For something super new and indie, try the album "Seven Swans" by Sufjan Stevens.
"He woke me up again" is perfect.
I know I'm a little late, but for the future I would suggest Hoobastank's "The Reason".
Also "Saved" by Big & Rich is a personal favorite of mine. In case you need some sassy but spiritual new country with great lyrics.
